Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund all suffered away defeats in the German Bundesliga on Saturday afternoon, Afrosport reports.
Bayern were up against Bochum and led 2-1 in the first half through a Raphael Guerreiro brace.
Joao Palhinha however received a red card in the 43rd minute which allowed Bochum to capitalise on in the second half through Mali midfielder Ibrahima Sissoko and Matus Bero, handing the relegation-threatened side a famous 3-2 win at the Allianz Arena.
Meanwhile, Leverkusen suffered only their second league loss of the season after going down 2-0 to Werder Bremen at BayArena, Romano Schmid and Justin Njinmah scoring in either half.
Dortmund were condemned to their 10th defeat of the season after losing 1-0 to Augsburg at Signal Iduna Park, Jeffrey Gouweleeuw’s 23rd minute strike making the difference.
It marked the first time since the 2006-07 season that Bayern, Leverkusen and Dortmund all lost on the same day.
3 – FC Bayern, Borussia Dortmund and Bayer 04 Leverkusen have all lost on the same Bundesliga matchday for the first time since MD20 in 2006-07. Surprising.
