Agent of Lamine Yamal, Jorge Mendes, has confirmed that the wonderkid will extend his contract with Barcelona, Afrosport reports
The 17-year-old Spaniard of Moroccan and Equatorial Guinean heritage’s current deal with the Catalan giants will expire next summer, having signed it two years ago as a 16-year-old.
Yamal has been of the bright sparks in world football since making his Barcelona debut during the latter part of the 2022-23 season, winning the 2024 Golden Boy award as he helped Spain win the Euro 2024 championship in Germany.
“Lamine is going to continue at Barca, the important thing now is to think about sporting matters,” Mendes said after meeting Barca president Joan Laporta in Lisbon.
