Nigerian forward Christantus Uche has been nominated for La Liga U23 Player of the Month award for February, Afrosport reports.
Uche scored once in three La Liga games for Getafe in the month under review, with his season tally curwrently at three goals in 24 league matches.
The 21-year-old will need to fend off competition from Barcelona’s teenage sensation Lamine Yamal, Javi Guerra (Valencia), Jesus Rodriguez (Real Betis), and Javi Rodriguez (Celta Vigo) for the award.

Uche scored his only goal in Getafe’s 2-1 win at Girona last weekend and the Nigerian is set to miss his side’s next league game due to accumulation of yellow cards.
Getafe are currently 13th in La Liga on 30 points after 24 games and will host Real Betis at Coliseum Stadium on Sunday.
