Shooting Stars succumbed to a defeat for the first time in nine league games after going down 2-0 to Kwara United in Ilorin in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) on Wednesday, Afrosport reports.
Kabir Mohammed gave Shooting Stars the lead in the 22nd minute, while Ojifinni Abdullahi, who was named Man of the Match, added the second just before the hour mark.
Despite the defeat, the Oluyole Warriors remain in second position with 40 points, eight points behind league leaders Remo Stars.

Elsewhere, at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano Pillars recorded a 2-1 win over El-Kanemi Warriors to immediately return to winning ways after their weekend defeat at Remo.
Rabiu Ali and Rashid Alhassan scored both goals for Pillars either side of a 65th minute penalty from Umir Al Amin. as they won for the first time in four games.
Ali netted his ninth goal of the season and the 130th of his career as the hosts moved into ninth, while El-Kanemi maintained their sixth position.
At the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin, Bendel Insurance pipped Enyimba 1-0 courtesy of a goal from Kayode Oke as the People’s Elephants struggles continue, having won just two of their last 10 games.
