Dallas Mavericks newest addition, Anthony Davis, will reportedly be out of action for multiple weeks with a left adductor strain, Afrosport reports.
Davis, who joined Dallas in a blockbuster trade that sent Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers, sustained an injury in the second half of his debut on Saturday.
The 31-year-old suffered the non-contact injury in the third quarter of the Mavericks’ 116-105 win over the Houston Rockets.

Davis had a monster performance in his first game for Dallas, finishing with 26 points, 16 rebounds, and seven assists in 31 minutes at the American Airlines Center.
The Mavericks (28-25) are eighth in the Western Conference, two losses behind sixth place, the final automatic playoff spot.
They will play the second of their five-game homestand against the Sacramento Kings on Monday night before visits from the Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat, and New Orleans Pelicans.
