Liverpool manager Arne Slot has revealed that right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold will miss the second leg of their League Cup semi-final against Tottenham on Thursday, Afrosport reports.
Alexander-Arnold reportedly picked up a thigh injury in their 2-0 win away at Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday and was replaced by Conor Bradley in the 70th minute.
Liverpool, holders of the League Cup, are looking to overturn a 1-0 deficit against Tottenham when both sides meet at Anfield for the second leg.
“He [Alexander-Arnold] is going to miss the [Tottenham] game,” said Slot. “We have to see whether he is able to play on Sunday [against Plymouth] but what we do know is that he is not available for tomorrow.
“He left the pitch with a bit of pain in his leg but he’s already on the [training] pitch, not with the team but with the rehab coach, so let’s see how long it is going to take.”

Bradley started the first leg against Spurs on 8 January and is in line to get the nod for the return fixture. Joe Gomez could also start in the fullback position, having recovered from a hamstring injury.
The Reds, top of the Premier League and into the last 16 of the Champions League, did not bring in any new players during the January transfer window.
“I’ve said it many times, we have a very good squad and, if you look at the league table, the players have shown that the trust we have in them was correct,” added Slot.
“And, apart from Trent now for a few days, we didn’t have many long-term injuries in the moments when the window was open.”
Liverpool play Plymouth in the FA Cup fourth round on Sunday before taking on Everton in the league on Wednesday in the final Merseyside derby at Goodison Park.
