Bayern Munich will be without Alphonso Davies for the ‘time being’ as the defender has sustained a muscle injury, Afrosport reports.
The German club on Thursday announced that a scan carried out by the club’s medical staff confirmed that Davies has suffered a muscle strain in his left hamstring.
The 24-year-old, who started Bayern’s disappointing 3-0 defeat at Feyenoord in the Champions League on Wednesday, was replaced in first-half stoppage time by Portugal’s Raphael Guerreiro.
The Bundesliga leaders did not reveal how long the Canadian will be out for, but it can be confirmed that he will miss their trip to Freiburg on Saturday.

Bayern are currently four points clear of Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga standings with 45 points after 18 games.
They, however, have it all to do in the Champions League, as Wednesday’s defeat to Feyenoord leaves them in 15th with 12 points, coincidentally, one point behind eighth-placed Leverkusen, who occupy the final automatic qualification spot.
