Juventus confirm Kolo Muani short-term loan deal from PSG

Juventus on Thursday confirmed the signing of French forward Randal Kolo Muani on loan from Paris Saint-Germain, Afrosport reports.

Kolo Muani, who has secured a move away from the French capital, will remain with Juventus on a short-term deal until 30 June.

The 26-year-old has been in Turin for some days, training with his new teammates, but the transfer was held up due to PSG’s failure to meet their quota of players to be loaned out to foreign clubs at the same time.

The Frenchman’s move, however, was made possible by the termination of Spanish defender Juan Bernat’s contract with PSG, turning a loan move to Villarreal into a permanent one.

Kolo Muani has two goals in 14 appearances for PSG in all competitions this season, having started just two games in the first half of the season.

He joined the French champions from Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt in a big-money move before the start of the 2023-24 season, scoring nine goals in 40 appearances in his first campaign.

Kolo Muani will wear the number 20 shirt during his time in Turin, with Juventus currently fifth in the Serie A with 37 points, following eight wins and 13 draws in 21 matches.

The Old Lady travels to Naples to face league leaders Napoli on Saturday at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
