Barcelona defender Inigo Martinez is set to be out for at least four weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury, Afrosport reports.
Martinez was forced off in the first half of Barcelona’s Spanish Super Cup win over Real Madrid in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Sunday.
The 33-year-old, who was eventually replaced in the 28th minute by Uruguay international Ronald Araujo, has suffered a right hamstring tear, the Catalan club confirmed on Tuesday.

Martinez joined Barcelona on a free transfer in July 2023 and has become a key figure in defence for Hansi Flick’s side this season.
The former Athletic Bilbao defender has scored two goals and provided two assists in 27 matches across all competitions this campaign.
He is expected to miss about seven games for Barcelona, including their final two Champions League group matches against Benfica and Atalanta.
