Former Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has received his Uefa Pro coaching licence, Afrosport reports.
The Ivory Coast legend has been involved in different assistant coaching roles which began in 2021, two years after retiring from professional football.
He started out as assistant at Olimpik Donetsk in Ukraine before moving to Akhmat Grozny in Russia.
He was then an academy coach at Tottenham Hotspur for the 2022-23 season before moving to Standard Liege and the Saudi Arabia national team to work with Roberto Mancini who purchased him in 2010 from Barcelona while he was in charge of Manchester City.
Yaya Toure took to X to make the announcement stating: “Delighted to share that I’ve now got my UEFA Pro Licence!
“I have learned a lot while gaining the coaching qualification and now feel even more excited about what I can achieve as a coach.
“Thank you to the tutors at The FA, as well as my friends & family who have supported me.”

With the UEFA Pro Licence, Toure can now seek work as head coach of in any of Europe’s top leagues.
