Former Netherlands international Patrick Kluivert has been appointed as the new head coach of the Indonesia national team, Afrosport reports.
The 48-year-old had been the front-runner for the job after Shin Tae-yong was dismissed earlier in the week and the Football Association of Indonesia swiftly moved by announcing his appointment on Wednesday.
The Ajax legend and former Barcelona forward served as assistant coach of the Netherlands and Cameroon while he led as head coach of Curacao and was most recently in charge of Turkish Super Lig outfit Adana Demirspor.
