Amorim acknowledges increasing pressure on Manchester United job

Everton boss Dyche pleased with Iliman Ndiaye improvement

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has acknowledged the increasing pressure that comes with his job, Afrosport reports.

The Red Devils have lost five out of 10 competitive games since the Portuguese took charge last month and it has left them in 14th place on the log.

United’s failure to kick into gear has raised questions about the tough job at hand for Amorim which he says is not putting him in comfortable place at the moment.

“The manager of Manchester United can never, no matter what, be comfortable, and I know I know the reason that I’m that I’m in,” the former Sporting Lisbon boss stated.

“I know that if we don’t win, regardless, if they pay the buyout [for me] or not, I know that every manager is in danger and I like that I like that because that is the job, so I understand the question.

“You can argue that I have been here one month and I’ve had four training [sessions], but we are not winning. That is the reality and I’m quite comfortable with that.”

United will end 2024 with a home tie against Newcastle United on Monday night.
