Czech forward Patrik Schick scored four goals, and Germany international Florian Wirtz added another as Leverkusen ended the year with only one domestic loss and sits second in the Bundesliga standings.

Eintracht Frankfurt’s 10-match unbeaten home record came to an end as 10-man Mainz sealed a 3-1 win at Deutsche Bank Park as the visitors made it back-to-back wins and moved into fifth in the league standings.
