The Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) on Wednesday named the Junior Female Yellow Greens final squad for the 2025 ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup set to be held in Malaysia in January, Afrosport reports.
The NCF has called upon 15 young cricketers for the tournament, which is slated to run from 18 January 2025 until 2 February.
Lucky Piety has been selected as the Junior Female Yellow Greens team captain; wicketkeeper Bassey Deborah also made the team alongside the likes of Ude Lilian, Adekunle Shola, Agboya Peculiar, and Akhigbe Anointed.

The Junior Female Yellow Greens are drawn in Group C of the tournament, where they will face New Zealand, Samoa, and familiar foes South Africa.
Nigeria will battle Samoa in their opening game on 18 January, before playing New Zealand two days later, while their meeting against South Africa has been pegged for 22 January.
The 16 participating teams in the 2025 ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup have been divided into four groups of four teams each. Following the conclusion of the group stage, the top 12 teams will advance to the knockout round, where they will be divided into two groups of six in the Super Six League stage.
The top two teams from each Super Six group will progress to the semi-finals set for 31 January, while the final will take place on 2 February 2025.
The 2025 ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup will be the second edition of the U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup, with India being the defending champions.
