Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman won the Men’s Player of the Year award at the 2024 CAF Awards at the Palais des Congres in Marrakech, Morocco, on Monday.
Lookman saw off competition from the quartet of Achraf Hakimi (Morocco), Simon Adingra (Ivory Coast), Serhou Guirassy (Guinea), and Ronwen Williams (South Africa) to become the seventh Nigerian to claim the honours.
The 27-year-old followed in the footsteps of other great Nigerian footballers who have won the award after enjoying a great campaign with both club and country.
Following his triumph, the football world, including experts, fans, and teammates, has taken to social media to praise Lookman for his victory.
