Sunshine Stars held Enyimba to a 0-0 draw on Wednesday in a rescheduled match-day 13 encounter in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) game in Aba, Afrosport reports.
Sunshine Stars who lost their last game at home to Shooting Stars in Ikenne were determined to bounce back and were able to get a point off the nine-time Nigerian champions.
On the part of Enyimba, their last game was a come-from-behind 2-2 draw with Egyptian side Zamalek at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo.
Iwundu Chidozie had a couple of chances upfront, but Enyimba did enough to keep him at bay.
Yemi-olanrewaju’s men also created chances through Daniel Daga, and prominently, Ekene Awazie, but it counted for nothing.
The People’s Elephants have now gone seven games without a win in all competitions.
Sunshine Stars have also won just once in their last five league games, their last win was a 1-0 win against Lobi Stars on November 17.
