The Confederation of African Football on Wednesday announced the official venue and time for the 2024 CAF Awards, Afrosport reports.
The African football body in October revealed that the awards ceremony, which is scheduled for Monday, 16 December, will be held in Marrakech, Morocco, for the second straight year.
CAF has now announced that the prestigious Palais des Congres in Marrakech will host the 2024 CAF Awards ceremony, with kick-off time set for 7 pm local time (same as Nigeria Time).
The 2024 CAF Awards will have in attendance the best football minds on the continent, with honours set to be handed out to worthy recipients in both men’s and women’s categories, who have shone for both club and country between January and October this year.
The CAF African Player of the Year in both the men’s and women’s categories will be the crowning moment of the ceremony, with reigning winners Victor Osimhen and Asisat Oshoala, both from Nigeria, set to be dethroned.
Other accolades that will be up for grabs at the ceremony include best goalkeeper, best young player, best coach, best national team, and best interclub player, and best club.
