New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson and Houston Rockets center Alperen Sengun have been named the NBA Players of the Week for Week 6 of the 2024-25 season, Afrosport reports.

Brunson led New York to a 3-1 record in the week under review to win the Eastern Conference Player of the Week award for the first time this season and the sixth time with the Knicks.
The 28-year-old averaged 26.8 points and 9.8 assists per game while shooting 54.7 percent from the floor and 52.4 percent from three-point range across four games as the Knicks recorded wins over the Denver Nuggets, Charlotte Hornets, and New Orleans Pelicans.
Brunson is currently averaging 25.4 points, 7.9 assists, and 3.0 rebounds per game while shooting 48.6% from the floor and 41.1% from beyond the arc across 20 games this season.

Meanwhile, Sengun was rewarded with the Western Conference award for his spectacular performances this week, the second of his young NBA career.
The 22-year-old led Houston to a 3-0 week, recording a 20-point double-double in all three games, as he tied the longest such streak of his career. Sengun averaged 21.3 points, 12.7 rebounds, 9.0 assists, 1.67 steals, and 1.67 blocks per game in Week 6 as the Rockets overcame the Minnesota Timberwolves, Philadelphia 76ers, and Oklahoma City Thunder.
Across 21 games this season, Sengun is averaging 18.8 points, 10.9 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 1.14 steals, and 1.24 blocks.
