Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has been nominated for the Serie A Player of the Month award for November, Afrosport reports.
Lookman scored three goals in three league appearances for Atalanta in the month under review.
The Nigerian forward scored a brilliant brace in their 3-0 win over Napoli at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium earlier in the month.
Although he drew blank in their 2-1 win against Udinese, Lookman was back on the scoresheet as he scored the last goal for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side in a 3-1 win at Parma last weekend.
The 27-year-old will need to fend off competition from five other Serie A stars if he is to get his hands on the award.
Lookman will battle the likes of Federico Dimarco (Inter Milan), Khephren Thuram (Juventus), Alessandro Buongiorno (Napoli), Moise Kean (Fiorentina), and Mattia Zaccagni (Lazio) for the accolade.
The Nigerian international currently has nine goals and five assists in 15 matches across all competitions this season, including seven goals and four assists in 10 Serie A appearances.
