A solitary strike by Romelu Lukaku ensured Napoli defeated AS Roma 1-0 and reclaimed top spot in Sunday’s round of fixtures in the Italian Serie A, Afrosport reports.
Napoli started brightly and should have taken the lead under two minutes but Khvicha Kvaratskhelia failed to direct his header towards goal when set up by his captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo.
The breakthrough, however, came in the 54th minute as Di Lorenzo yet again burst into the Roma box and set up Lukaku, who tapped in to give his side the deserved lead.
