Son of Senegal legend, Noah Fadiga, has announced he plans to push on with his football career amidst health concerns regarding heart problems like his father Khalilou, Afrosport reports.
Khalilou, who is one of Senegal’s most influential footballers, collapsed in a warm-up session in 2004 while playing for Bolton Wanderers.
It ultimately led to his retirement as his body could no longer keep up with his football career.
The 23-year-old Noah, who is a defender at Belgian club KAA Gent, now faces similar issues but has chosen to fight on, making use of a defibrillator to give him a fighting chance as he refuses to lose to the same thing that curtailed his father’s career.
