Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson has won the Premier League Goal of the Month award for October with his strike in their 2-1 victory against Newcastle United, Afrosport reports.
Jackson bagged his sixth league goal of the season with the Blues’ opener at Stamford Bridge, claiming the award for the first time in his Chelsea career following votes from the public combined with those of a panel of experts.

The Senegal international wrapped up a brilliant team move, which started deep inside Chelsea’s half. After Cole Palmer’s brilliant through ball found Pedro Neto, the Portuguese winger beat Newcastle’s Fabian Schar before passing across goal for Jackson, who finished brilliantly, beating goalkeeper Nick Pope.
Jackson fended off competition from seven other Premier League stars, including Facundo Buonanotte (Leicester City), Andreas Pereira (Fulham), Jeremy Doku and Josko Gvardiol (Manchester United), Alejandro Garnacho (Manchester United), Ryan Christie (Bournemouth), and Bukayo Saka (Arsenal).
Chelsea have now won the award for the second time this season, with Jackson joining Palmer, who claimed the award in August for his audacious lob against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
