Cleveland Cavaliers and Phoenix Suns guards Donovan Mitchell and Devin Booker have been named the NBA Players of the Week for Week 2 of the 2024-25 season, Afrosport reports.

Mitchell led the Cavaliers to a 4-0 record in Week 2 to win the Eastern Conference Player of the Week award for the first time this season and seventh of his NBA career.
The 28-year-old averaged 25.3 points and 4.3 assists, shooting 51% from the field and 42% on 3-pointers across four games as Cleveland recorded wins over the New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers, Orlando Magic, and Milwaukee Bucks.
He is currently averaging 24.4 points and 4.3 assists, while shooting 50% from the floor and 40% on 3s across seven games this season.

Meanwhile, two-time Olympic gold medallist Booker gets the honour in the West for the 10th time in his career as he led the Suns to a 3-0 record.
The four-time All-Star averaged 33.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game to help Phoenix beat the Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, and Portland Trail Blazers.
Booker has averages of 26.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 5.7 assists this season, shooting 46.2% from the field and 40% from beyond the arc.
