Nigerian forward Tolu Arokodare has won KRC Genk’s Goal of the Month award for October with his brilliant strike against Gent in the Belgian Pro League, Afrosport reports.
Following votes from fans, the 23-year-old’s goal in their 2-0 win against Gent got the nod.
Arokodare broke the deadlock for Genk away at the Ghelamco Arena on Sunday, October 27, latching onto a low cross into the box from Christopher Bonsu-Brah before sending the ball into the rooftop with an emphatic finish.

The visitors went on all to claim maximum points, with a penalty from Jarne Steukers in the 58th minute capping off a solid performance.
Arokodare has been on a tear this season with eight goals and two assists in 14 games in all competitions, including eight goals and one assist in 12 league matches.
His impressive form this campaign places him as the joint top scorer in the Belgian Pro League, alongside Adriano Bertaccini of Sint-Truidense.
Genk are currently top of the Belgian top-flight with 31 points from their opening 13 league games.
