Orlando Magic forward, Paolo Banchero has been sidelined indefinitely due to a right oblique abdominal muscle tear, Afrosport reports.
The team-leading scorer was injured during the fourth quarter of Magic’s 102-99 loss to the Chicago Bulls 102-99 on Wednesday.
Although he played until the end, the medical staff initially called a right abdominal strain, but the injury was determined to be worse after further testing.
Orlando noted that he will be re-evaluated in four to six weeks as his return to the court will depend on how he responds to treatment.
