Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman says the three-time African Champions must be consistent after a decent showing in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualification series, Afrosport reports.
The Super Eagles are unbeaten in the qualifiers with three wins and one draw from four games.
The Atalanta winger told 54Footballx that it is imperative for the team to keep improving on their performances.
“We’ve shown good performances as a team in these AFCON qualifiers and now we need to do better on a consistent basis,” he said.
“We’ve won two games and drawn one game, so we will continue in this manner, and try to win our games.
“Obviously, the goal is to qualify for the AFCON and World Cup, so we are looking to do those things.”.
The 26-year-old finished 14th in the 2024 Ballon d’Or award ranking, with Manchester City and Spain midfielder Rodri beating Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham to the top gong.
Lookman has also been shortlisted for the 2024 Africa Footballer of the Year award.
