Former NBA stars Vince Carter and Chauncey Billups headlined the 13-member list enshrined into the 2024 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame class in Springfield on Sunday night, Afrosport reports.
Carter, who recently got his jersey retired by two of his former teams, was selected fifth-overall in the 1998 Draft by the Golden State Warriors before being immediately traded to the Toronto Raptors, who he led to their first-ever playoff appearance in 2000.
Despite not winning an NBA Championship, Carter was named the 1999 Rookie of the Year, was an eight-time All-Star, and made the All-NBA Second Team in 2001, the All-NBA Third Team in 2000 and the NBA All-Rookie First Team in 1999.

Meanwhile, Billups, who was the No. 3 pick in the 1997 NBA Draft by the Boston Celtics, was traded to the Toronto Raptors just four months after his rookie season began, playingon seven teams over the course of his 17-year NBA career.
He won an NBA title in 2004 with the Detroit Pistons as well as being named the Finals MVP. Billups was a five-time All-Star, a two-time All-NBA Third Team and two-time NBA All-Defensive Second Team.

Other members enshrined into the 2024 Class included Michael Cooper, Doug Collins, Walter Davis and WNBA icon Seimone Augustus.
