Super Eagles forward and 2024 Ballon d’Or nominee, Ademola Lookman, has been named Atalanta’s Player of the Month for September, the team announced on Sunday.
The 26-year-old helped the Bergamo-based club with two goals and one assist in all competitions in the month under review as he fended off competition from teammates Lazar Samardžić and Mateo Retegui for the award.

Lookman kicked off his impressive performances in September with a goal and an assist in their 3-2 win over Fiorentina, scooping the Man-of-the-Match award.
Although he drew blank in their goalless draw against Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League, the Nigerian forward responded with a goal in their 3-2 loss to Como before also failing to contribute a goal in their 1-1 draw at Bologna.
Lookman has been in good form this season with three goals and three assists in seven matches in all competitions for Atlanta, who are 10th in the Serie A standings.
