The 22-year-old, who was initially named in La Rojaโs 25-man squad to face Denmark and Serbia, has been replaced by Real Sociedadโs Sergio Gomez.

Williams, who is of Ghanaian descent, showed up at the teamโs training base in Las Rozas, but he was eventually released “following talks between his clubโs medical team and the national team,” said a Spanish Football Federation statement.
Meanwhile, Gomez, who was part of Spainโs gold medal-winning team at the Paris 2024 Olympics, will be hoping to make his senior team debut in the coming days.
Luis de la Fuenteโs men will host Denmark at the Estadio Nueva Condomina in Murcia on Saturday, October 12, before welcoming Serbia to the Estadio Nuevo Arcรกngel in Cordoba three days later.
