Odion Ighalo scores in Al Wehda’s 2-2 stalemate against Al Feiha

Odion Ighalo was back among the goals as the Nigerian forward scored for Al Wehda in their 2-2 draw against Al Feiha in the Saudi Pro League on Thursday.

The 35-year-old ended his three-game goal drought in the Saudi top-flight with a second half strike inside Al Wehda’s King Abdul Aziz Stadium.

The home side got in front in the fourth minute through left back Meshal Yousef Al Alaeli but they were pegged back in the 74th minute by Spanish midfielder Alejandro Pozuelo.

With about eight minutes of normal time left, Ighalo restored Al Wehda’s lead but Zambia’s Fashion Sakala scored a penalty in the 14th minute of stoppage time to ensure both teams shared the spoils.

The strike was Ighalo’s third goal in seven matches in all competition this season and his second in six league games.

The result ensured Al Wehda move into 13th position in the standings with five points after six league games, while Al Feiha are a spot above with the same point but a better goal difference.
