Former Juventus goalkeeper, Wojciech Szczesny has joined Spanish giants Barcelona until the end of the season, barely a month after he announced his retirement from football, Afrosport reports.
The 34-year-old shot stopper only announced his retirement on August 27 after mutually agreeing to terminate his Juventus contract, but now sees a sensational return to the game.
Szczesny’s signing is due to the knee injury suffered by Barcelona first-choice goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen in their 5-1 La Liga win against Villarreal in September.

Juventus recently gave Szczesny an emotional farewell at the Allianz Stadium with his ex-teammates and fans celebrating the goalkeeper who was signed in 2017.
He made 252 appearances for the Italian giants, winning three Serie A titles and three Coppa Italia titles.
He started his professional football career at Arsenal who he joined as a 16-year-old and he made 181 appearances for the Gunners .
He also featured for Premier League outfit, Brentford and Italian side, AS Roma before he joined Juventus.
Born in Warsaw, Poland’s capital, Szczesny won 84 caps for Polish national team, playing at four European Championships and two World Cups.A
According to reports, Barcelona Manager, Hansi Flick could hand Szczesny his debut against Alaves in their La Liga encounter on Sunday.
