DR Congo head coach Sebastien Desabre has announced a 26-man squad to face Tanzania in their next two matches in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualfiiers next month.
The 48-year-old Desabre has called upon regulars like Chancel Mbemba, Arthur Masuaku, Theo Bongonda and Gael Kakuta. The French coach also named Ipswich Town defender Axel Tuanzebe and Meschiak Elia to the star-studded squad.
The Leopards, who will be without leading forward Yoane Wissa, will face Tanzania’s Taifa Stars in a double-header, with the first match at home in Kinshasa on October 10th, before heading to Dar es Salaam on October 15th.
DR Congo are currently top of Group H with six points having won their opening two matches – a 1-0 win at home against Guinea and a 2-0 win at Ethiopia.
Tanzania, on the other hand, are second, with four points following a goalless draw against Ethiopia and a 2-1 win over Guinea.
