Mohamed Salah marked his 100th appearance for the Egypt national team with a goal as the Pharaohs trounced Botswana 4-0 on Tuesday in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture, Afrosport reports.
The Liverpool forward, who began his international career against Sierra Leone in September 2011, scored Egypt’s third goal in the 56th minute on his milestone day to take his international goal tally to 56.
Winger Trezeguet found the back of the net twice in the fourth and 29th minutes, while substitute Mostafa Fathy added a fourth goal in injury time.
The win helped Egypt, who had previously defeated Cape Verde in their group opener on Friday, to maintain their position at the top of the group with six points.
