The Falconets have qualified for the round of 16 of the 2024 FIFA Under 20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia after recording a 4-0 win over Venezuela in their final Group D game on Saturday night, Afrosport reports.
Amina Bello, Chiamaka Okwuchukwu, Flourish Sebastine and Joy Igbokwe were all on target for the two-time silver medalists.
The victory against Venezuela means the Christopher Danjuma’s-tutored Falconets finished with six points after beating South Korea before 1-3-1 to Germany.

They finished level on six points with the Germans who lost 1-0 to the Koreans but took second spot by virtue of an inferior goal difference.
Nigeria will face whoever tops Group E between Japan or Austria in the round of 16 in Bogota on Thursday.
