The 26-year-old on Wednesday, while on his way to book a flight to Merseyside, told Sportitalia that he was “gearing up for the new adventure”.
“I’m very happy,” the Italian told reporters. “I can’t wait to become new Liverpool player. Me and my family, we’re so happy really”.
“Let me say thanks to Juventus and the fans, they have been always special with me.
“Now it’s time for #LFC, I’m so happy. I can’t wait!”.
Chiesa would become Liverpool’s second signing under Arne Slot following the acquisition of Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili.
He scored 32 goals in 131 appearances for Juventus, including 10 goals in 37 matches last season, winning three titles including two Coppa Italia trophies.
The former Fiorentina winger, who starred for Italy during their European Championship triumph in 2021, was told by Juventus’ new boss Thiago Motta earlier this summer that he wasn’t part of his plan.
