Serie A club Napoli have agreed a deal in principle to sign Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea, 7 reports.
Lukaku has been linked with a move to Napoli ever since the summer transfer window opened, and the Belgium international will finally get his desired move after an agreement has been reached with the Blues.
The deal, which will see the 31-year-old move to Naples on a three-year contract until 2027, is reportedly worth around €45 million—a €30 million fixed fee plus add-ons up to €15 million.
Lukaku, who rejoined Chelsea in 2021 in a blockbuster move worth €113 million in 2021, has found it tough to establish himself as the number one striker at Stamford Bridge.
He has spent the past two seasons on loan in Italy, with both Inter Milan and AS Roma, the latter, where he scored 21 goals and provided four assists in 47 matches in all competitions.
Lukaku will now reunite with Italian manager Antonio Conte at Napoli, having played under him at Inter, finishing with 14 goals and seven assists in 37 matches in all competitions.
