Nigeria U15 players, the Future Eagles have been denied Spanish visas for the UEFA U16 Development tournament in Spain.
A brief statement published on the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF)’s social media account confirmed that the visa refusal by the Spanish Embassy has resulted in the Future Eagles’ withdrawal from the tournament that starts on Friday, April 12.
Coach Patrick Bassey’s boys have been training in Ikenne at the Remo Stars’ Sports Institute and were billed to leave Nigeria for Spain on Tuesday afternoon.

Nigeria U15 were scheduled to play Belgium, Italy and England in the week-long tournament.
In March, the Future Eagles played against Morocco U15 boys in a friendly match in the Moroccan city of Kenitra and they lost 3-2 in the first game and 5-3 in the second match.
The UEFA Under-16 Development Tournament was founded in 2012 and it helps young players and young referees gain experience in international football.
