Hakim Ziyech has his eyes set on the UEFA Champions League knockout phase after starring in Galatasaray’s 3-3 home draw with Manchester United on Wednesday night.
The Red Devils took a 2-0 lead through Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes before Ziyech’s brilliant freekick halved the deficit.
United made it 3-1 courtesy of Scott McTominay but Ziyech once again reduced the deficit from another freekick before assisting Kerem Akturkoglu to level things.
“I am happy with my performance in this type of match,” Ziyech told the club website.
“I’m proud. I love performing at these levels. I’m trying my best. I’m trying to be better. We will go to Copenhagen to win. We’ll do what we have to do. We must move to the next phase.
“The fans gave us incredible strength. They pushed us forward. There was an incredible atmosphere. It’s great to play in this kind of atmosphere.”
