Super Eagles forward Victor Boniface has been nominated for the Bundesliga Rookie of the Month award for September.
The Bayer Leverkusen striker, who also won the accolade in August alongside the Bundesliga Player of the Month award, has been nominated for his third honour since moving to Germany over the summer.
The 22-year-old enjoyed a successful month with Die Werkself, as they were unbeaten in four games and maintained their spot at the top of the league standings.
Boniface had the most shots (25) of any player in the Bundesliga in September, scoring four goals—the third most in the league in the month behind Serhou Guirassy and Harry Kane—and providing one assist.

The Nigerian international will, however, face competition from Netherlands and RB Leipzig midfielder Xavi Simons and Hoffenheim’s forward Maximilian Beier for the award.
Boniface has enjoyed a blistering start to his career with Xabi Alonso’s side, with nine goals and three assists in ten matches in all competitions, including seven goals and two assists in the Bundesliga.
