The 33-year-old joined Al Hilal in January 2022 after leaving another Saudi club, Al Shabab. Ighalo ended his first season as the Saudi Professional League’s top scorer with 24 goals.
He helped the club win the league in the 2021/22 season and the King Cup in 2023.
The Nigerian also helped them finish as runners-up in the FIFA Club World Cup in 2022, when they lost in the final to European giants Real Madrid.
In the just-concluded 2022–23 season, Ighalo scored 21 goals and provided two assists in 34 matches in all competitions.
He departs Al Hilal after just two seasons, scoring 43 goals and seven assists in 60 appearances.
