Toulouse forward Zakaria Aboukhlal will train alone while an investigation into an alleged altercation with the city’s deputy mayor for sports, Laurence Arribage is ongoing.
According to RMC Sport, Aboukhlal clashed with Arribage during a ceremony celebrating Toulouse’s French Cup triumph over Nantes last month, a game Aboukhlal found the back of the net in the 5-1 win.
Toulouse have released a statement following the publication of the report and have described it as “serious”.
The statement read: “In response to the serious allegations published by RMC Sport against Toulouse Football Club player Zakaria Aboukhlal, the club has announced that the player will train away from the professional squad until further notice, pending the results of an internal investigation. The Club will not make any further comment until the conclusion of the investigation.”

Aboukhlal made headlines over the weekend after he refused to take part in Ligue 1’s support against homophobia and was left out of the squad as a result.
