Nigerian descent Chuba Akpom and Ivory Coast star Amad Diallo have been nominated for EFL Championship end-of-season awards.
Middlesbrough striker Akpom is up against Burnley’s Josh Brownhill and Coventry City’s Viktor Gyokeres for the Player of the Season prize while Sunderland’s Diallo is vying for the Young Player of the Season award against Middlesbrough’s Hayden Hackney and Bristol City’s Alex Scott.
Akpom is enjoying the best goalscoring season of his career in the Championship with 26 goals so far for Middlesbrough and he currently tops the scoring chart
