Sir Alex Ferguson & Wenger inducted into Premier League Hall of Fame

Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson and ex-Arsenal head coach Arsene Wenger have become the first coaches to be inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame.

Sir Ferguson and Wenger were inducted into the prestigious class of achievers on Wednesday for their success and contributions to the development of English football.

Sir Ferguson remains the most successful manager in Premier League history with 13 titles with the Red Devils.

He is the only manager with the most wins (528) in Premier League history and the most awards for Manager of the Month (27 awards) and Manager of the Season (11 awards).

Wenger, meanwhile, guided ‘The Invincible’ Arsenal team to win the 2003-04 Premier League title without losing a game in the entire season.

The Frenchman joined the Gunners in 1996 from Japanese club Nagoya Grampus and he went on to etch his name in history as the only coach to manage the most matches for a Premier League club (828 games) and the most seasons as manager for a single club with his 22-year reign in North London.

Wenger is currently serving as FIFA’s Chief of Global Football Development while Sir Ferguson is currently a club ambassador for Manchester United and he makes appearances at some of their games.

Three other players will be inducted into the 2023 Premier League Hall of Fame from a 15-man shortlist on Thursday.
