Marumo Gallants continued their phenomenal run in their CAF Confederation Cup debut as they saw off USM Alger of Algeria 2-0 at the Dobsonville Stadium to move to the top of Group A.
The South African side lost for the first time in the group in the reverse fixture in Algiers but readjusted this time with Nku Lesiba and Letsie Koapeng getting their names on the scoresheet for a comfortable victory in Soweto, Johannesburg.
In the other Group A game, Al Akhdar of Libya played out a 1-1 draw with DR Congo outfit St Eloi Lupopo.
In Group B, Rivers United were supposed to face another DR Congo side in Motema Pembe but the game did not hold as the Congolese outfit had not yet arrived in Nigeria. CAF have announced the game will now take place on Thursday at 3 PM WAT at the Godswill Akapbio Stadium in Uyo. The other Group B game that was held on Wednesday ended in a 1-0 away victory for Ivorian giants ASEC Mimosas over Diables Noirs of Congo-Brazzaville which gave them the temporary lead of the group.

In Group C, Pyramids FC of Egypt continued with their demolition of ASKO Kara from the reverse fixture where they won 5-0, this time winning 4-1 in the Togolese capital of Lome. In the other group game, Egyptian side Future FC were comfortable 2-0 winners over FAR Rabat of Morocco.
Group D saw 1-0 and 2-0 home wins for Monastir of Tunisia and Tanzanian powerhouse Young Africans over TP Mazembe and Real Bamako respectively.
