Since his return to the Premier League to join Liverpool in 2017, Egypt star Mohamed Salah has broken and set plenty of individual records in Jurgen Klopp’s team.

On Sunday, Salah etched his status as a Liverpool great by becoming the club’s all-time top scorer in the English top-flight with his brace in the Reds’ 7-0 mauling of Manchester United at Anfield.

The two-time African Footballer of the Year made his way to become fans’ favourite in Merseyside since he opened his Liverpool goal account in August 2017.

In celebrating Salah’s incredible goalscoring feat at Anfield, Afrosport highlights some of the individual records set by the Egyptian King so far in England.

1 – The Egyptian forward became the highest-scoring African in the Premier League’s history after scoring a hat-trick against Manchester United in October 2021.

3 – Salah remains the only player to have won three Premier League Player of the Month awards in a single season (2017-18).

5 – The 30-year-old is the first player to score on the opening day of five consecutive Premier League season.

25 – Salah is the only player to have scored the most left-footed goals in a single Premier League season – 25 goals ij the 2017-18 season.

44 – In February 2023, Salah overtook Steven Gerrard to become Liverpool’s outright top scorer in European competition with 44 Champions League goals so far.

55 – Salah became the fastest goalscorer for Liverpool in a UEFA Champions League game after scoring 55 seconds into their game against Midtjylland in December 2020. He is also the club’s leading topscorer in the elite European competition.
