Destiny Udogie scored the fastest goal in the 2022-23 Serie A season as Udinese blew a two-goal lead for a 2-2 draw against Sassuolo on Sunday.
The 20-year-old Italian-Nigerian – who is currently on loan from Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur – got things off after just 25 seconds with a well-struck effort that sent the home crowd into raptures.
It is the fastest goal in the Italian top-flight this season and the second fastest for Udinese since Roberto Pereyra’s goal against Atalanta in January 2021.

Udogie’s effort was also the third fastest goal in Europe’s top five leagues this season, behind PSG’s Kylian Mbappe (8secs vs Lille on August 22, 2022) and Senegal and Strasbourg forward Habib Diallo (5secs vs Montpellier on February 5).
