Moroccan Jalal Jayed has been appointed as the referee for the highly-anticipated 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier between Rwanda and the Super Eagles of Nigeria on Friday, Afrosport reports.
Jayed previously oversaw a friendly between Nigeria and the Black Stars of Ghana in Marrakesh in March last year with the Super Eagles winning 2-1 under then-interim coach and former international Finidi George.
Jayed will be assisted by his compatriots Mostapha Akarkad and Hamza Nassiri as first and second assistant referees for the crunch match in Kigali.
