The Super Eagles of Nigeria are expected to touch down Rwanda in the early hours of Saturday ahead of their clash against Zimbabwe in matchday two of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The delegation of players, coaches, and staff will depart the shores of the country by midnight today (Friday) from the Victor Attah International Airport in Uyo through a chartered airplane and are expected to land in Kigali on Saturday morning.

The team, which will be without Taiwo Awoniyi, who returned to his club after picking up a groin injury, will then go on a short two-hour trip to Butare, where the 20,000-capacity Huye Stadium, the venue for the match, is situated.
The Eagles were held to a disappointing 1-1 draw by Lesotho at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on Thursday and will require a win against the Warriors to kickstart their qualification campaign.
Zimbabwe, like Nigeria, also played out a stalemate with Rwanda in their own opening fixture, but they are yet to get on the score sheet after playing out a goalless draw.
The Eagles will lock horns with the Warriors at the Huye Stadium on Sunday, November 19, by 3 p.m. local time (2 p.m. in Nigeria), and a win will take Jose Peseiro’s side to four points after two games.
