Zimbabwe head coach, Michael Nees, on Wednesday unveiled a 23-man squad for this month’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Benin Republic and Nigeria, Afrosport reports.

Nees has called Udinese defender Jordan Zemura, forward Walter Musona, Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Marshall Munetsi, and the experienced Knowledge Musona, who makes a return to the national team ranks after retiring in 2022.

The 57-year-old German also included injured captain Marvelous Nakamba in the squad as well as England-based young goalkeeper Marley Tavaziva.

The Warriors of Zimbabwe sit bottom of Group C with two points from their opening four games following two draws and two losses.

They will face the Cheetahs of Benin Republic at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Thursday, 20 March, before visiting the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo five days later to take on the Super Eagles.
