South Africa head coach Hugo Broos on Thursday unveiled his final 23-man squad to face Lesotho and Nigeria in next month’s FIFA World Cup qualifiers, Afrosport reports.
Last week, the Belgian announced a 48-man preliminary squad and has dropped 25 players from the list ahead of the upcoming fixtures.
Captain Ronwen Williams and influential midfielder Teboho Mokoena lead the list, which also includes midfielders Iqraam Rayners and Luke Le Roux.
Burnley forward Lyle Foster was also included in the squad, alongside Aubrey Modiba, Relebohile Mofokeng and Ime Okon, who is of Nigerian descent. Notable omissions from the squad include veteran forward Themba Zwane, Evidence Makgopa and Nkosinathi Sibisi.
